I was born in 1977 in Daundat Taluka — lgatpuri. My father Mr. Vilas Ramchandra Borade was a farmer. I did my primary schooling from the Primary School of Devthan village, Taluka Akole. Secondary education was taken from Janata Vidyalaya, Ghoti. There I participated in school level running competition in the year 1993 and decided to be an athlete. The sports teacher Mr. D. Y. Shinde motivated and guided me, which brought change in my life and I was motivated to be a good athlete. Due to this I bagged many prizes at school level. Therefore to learn and to run became integral part of my life.
My TravelI was honoured as the ace runner in the 21 kilometer marathon organized by North Maharashtra Jalgaon University on lst August 1994. Later in the year 1997, I was awarded 2nd prize by Mayor of Nashik Muncipal Council Mr. Vasant Bhau Gite for 21 kilometer Nashik Marathon. I was also awarded by Health Minister Dr. Daulatrao Aher first prize in 10 kilometer marathon organized for creating awareness about the importance of good health in life. I won the 1st prize in 10 kilometer race organized in the honour of the birth day of Social Welfare Minister Babanrao Gholap. I was highly excited and glad to win prizes and bring fame to my Daundat Village and Igatpuri Taluaka. With this I kept participating in various competitions organized at section, state and national level. I also participated in International Level Marathon at Pune and Rajeev Gandhi Marathon at Delhi, Varsha Marathon at Thane.
I decide to organize the marathon to commemorate the martyrs of the 26/11. This way I was the first from Igatpuri Taluka and Nashik District to organize such marathon for rural and tribal children. This was the brave decision to organize 26/11 Martyrs Marathon. This institution is established in the able guidance of Bhausaheb Borade, Pandurang Borade, Sudhakar Durgude, Prashant Kedar. Dnyaneshwar Borade at Sant Gadge Baba Sports Club. We have been organizing Shahid Marathon continuously from the last 5 years every year on 26/11.
We are putting efforts to honour the winners of marathon by giving cash prizes, trophies and certificates. The best athlete and the ideal sports teachers are honoured. This marathon will be written in the golden letters in Indian History. This institute keeps guiding the rural children and prepare them for National and International Level Sports.
